Apple vice president Johny Srouji “is not going anywhere,” according to a Friday tweet by The Motley Fool analyst Ashraf Eassa, who stated Srouji was not among the candidates for Intel’s next CEO.

Eassa, who covers Intel frequently, did not provide additional details.

Intel has been searching for a new CEO since Brian Krzanich resigned in June following an affair with a subordinate. Earlier in January, Axios’ Ina Fried reported Srouji was among those being considered for the position.

Apple’s senior vice president of hardware, Srouji has, since he joined the company in 2008, led a strategy that has seen Apple expand its in-house chip design and manufacturing, resulting in the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
