Today's Consumers Force Us to Innovate, Says Strauss Group Exec

In the past, consumers had no way to contact manufacturers and manufacturers had no communication with consumers, according to Eyal Dror, CEO of food and beverage manufacturer Strauss Israel, a subsidiary of Tel Aviv-listed Strauss Group Ltd. Speaking Monday at Calcalist and Israel’s Bank Leumi’s Mind the Tech conference in Tel Aviv, Dror said the changes the industry underwent led consumers to expect constant change and innovation, leading manufacturers to maintain a much more direct and two-way relationship with consumers.

Strauss is one of Israel’s largest food product manufacturers. The new relationship enables the company to identify buying trends and create a production line that is based on consumer needs, Dror said.
