GitLab acquiring cloud security startup Oxeye for $30-40 million
The Israeli startup has developed technology for detecting and solving weaknesses in code in the development stages of applications
Software developer GitLab is acquiring Israeli cloud security startup Oxeye for $30-40 million, Calcalist has learned. This is GitLab’s second acquisition in Israel following the purchase of Fuzzit in 2020.
Oxeye did not respond to Calcalist’s request for comment.

Founded by Dean Agron and Ron Vider, Oxeye has developed technology for detecting and solving weaknesses in code in the development stages of applications. Oxeye's security testing solution is built for AppSec, Dev, and DevOps teams, helping to shift security left while accelerating development cycles, reducing friction, and eliminating risks. The cloud-native application security testing solution aims to overcome the challenges imposed by the complex nature of modern architectures.
The company has raised a little over $10 million to date, including from Dell Capital, Intel Capital, Merlin Ventures, MoreVC, i3 Equity Partners fund, and angel investors.
