Israel-based online gig marketplace Fiverr Int. Ltd. acquired New York-based back-office startup And Co, the company announced Wednesday. As part of the acquisitions, And Co’s services will become available for free to freelancers working through Fiverr’s marketplace. The companies will continue to operate independently, with And Co becoming a Fiverr company.

Fiver was founded in 2010 by Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger, who later founded insurance startup Lemonade Inc. Based in Tel Aviv with additional offices in New York, Chicago, Miami and San Francisco, Fiverr allows users to buy and sell professional services online for as low as $5. The company has raised $111 million in funding to date. Founded by Leif Abraham and Martin Strutz in 2015, And Co develops an online web and app-based service that allows freelancers to manage back-office operations including invoicing, contracts, time management, accounting and payments processing. And Co received early-stage investments from Red Swan Ventures, BoxGroup, and Joshua Kushner’s Thrive Capital. Mr. Abraham, CEO of And Co said in a statement that the acquisition will allow the company to grow as a global community and attract freelancers worldwide.
