Personal Health Assistant Startup Brook Raises $4 Million

Independent Health, a Western New York State health plan, participated in the funding round

Seattle-based Brook Inc., a company developing a personal health assistant, raised $4 million in a Seed round, the company announced Tuesday. Buffalo-headquartered Independent Health, a Western New York State health plan, participated in the funding round. “Technology can help personalize treatment using a process that can be customized and flexible,” said Oren Nissim, co-founder, and CEO, Brook. Mr. Nissim was the CEO of Israel-based digital mapping company Telmap Ltd. which was acquired by Intel in 2011.
