The Israeli antitrust authority on Thursday filed an indictment against four gaming store managers who allegedly coordinated prices of gaming consoles and popular video games using a Whatsapp group chat dubbed “Israel’s Suckers.” The four managers allegedly coordinated the prices of PlayStation 4, Xbox 1, and FIFA 17. Only a handful of importers and a few dozen distributors are active in Israel’s gaming market, where consoles and video games are often sold for as much as double their original prices.
