Music education startup JoyTunes Ltd. has completed a $10 million funding round led by Insight Ventures and Tel Aviv-based venture capital firm Aleph, bringing its total funding raised to $17 million. JoyTunes develops apps that teach users how to play musical instruments. JoyTunes’ flagship app is Simply Piano, which has been downloaded more than 10 million times, according to company data. The company also offers an app for piano instructors, called the Piano Maestro. JoyTunes employs 26 people in its office in Tel Aviv.
