Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S10, is set to feature facial recognition technology by Israeli startup Mantis Vision Ltd., according to a Sunday report by Korean website The Bell. Founded in 2005 and based in central Israel, Mantis Vision develops 3D scanning technologies used to create 3D content for a wide range of applications. Responding to Calcalist’s request for comment on Monday, Mantis Vision said that while it is in contact with several leading companies in Asia, it does not comment on rumors and speculations. In Late May, Mantis Vision announced a collaboration with Chinese electronics company Xiaomi to integrate a 3D camera by Mantis Vision into Xiaomi’s Mi8 smartphone.
