U.S. carrier United Airlines announced Thursday it will launch a nonstop flight between Washington, D.C.'s Dulles International Airport and Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport. The new route is set to begin operating in May 2019, pending regulatory approval. The new service is set to be United’s fourth connecting Israel and the U.S. United currently operates twice-daily flights between New York and Tel Aviv and daily nonstop service between San Francisco and Tel Aviv. United Airlines operates approximately 4,600 flights a day to 357 airports across five continents.
