Israel-based industrial machinery monitoring startup EcoPlant Technological innovation Ltd. has raised $1.7 million in a Series A round led by Palo Alto, California-based venture capital firm Benhamou Global Ventures LLC. Founded in 2016 and based in Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut, a town in central Israel, EcoPlant develops a cloud-based monitoring system for infrastructure machines in industrial plants aimed to improve energy efficiency and equipment uptime.
The round was announced on Sunday in a LinkedIn post by Tal Berman, chief business development officer at the NOVUS Center of Entrepreneurship, a startup incubator run by the College of Management Academic Studies in Rishon LeZion, a town in central Israel. EcoPlant was part of NOVUS’ fifth cohort.
