After hitting an 18-month low on Monday, the value of the Israeli shekel appreciated 1% against the U.S. dollar Tuesday

The value of Israel’s currency, the shekel, appreciated 1% against the U.S. dollar on Tuesday after hitting an 18-month low on Monday. On Tuesday, the U.S. dollar was trading at NIS 3.68. The shekel also appreciated 0.2% against the euro, which was trading at NIS 4.27. On Friday, Standard & Poor's Global upgraded Israel’s credit rating to AA- with a stable outlook, the highest rating awarded to the country to date. S&P cited Israel’s “exceptionally strong economic performance’” and stable economic outlook.
