Israel expected to ban marketing of e-cigarette Juul. Currently selling its products in only two countries outside of the U.S., Juul started operating in Israel in May. Read more

Australia's OneVentures partners with Israel's Viola Credit on a $78 million credit fund. The new fund will target high-growth technology companies in Australia. The firms expect to reach first closing by November. Read more

Visa backs Israeli alternative financer Behalf. The investment is part of Visa's $100-million dollar Fintech venture investment fund for Israel and Europe, announced in June. Read more

Japanese radio station Nippon Broadcasting invests $3 million in audio search engine AudioBurst. AudioBurst supplies content indexing services to radio stations, offering an automated parsing and tagging technology. It also offers a search engine for speech audio segments. Read more

Israel releases footage of Gaza sea barrier. Currently under construction, the 200-meter long 50-meter wide barrier is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018. Read more 

Defense contractor Elbit wins Israeli navy contract. Elbit will supply the Israeli navy with electronic warfare systems for its Sa’ar 6-class corvettes, assigned to guard Israel’s gas rigs. Read more
