Flavor and Fragrance Company Givaudan Is Scouting for Israeli Food Technologies

Givaudan has partnered with local food and beverage manufacturer Strauss to scout technologies in the field of natural flavor and fragrance

Swiss flavor and fragrance company Givaudan SA is scouting food technologies and startups in Israel. The company has partnered with foodtech accelerator The Kitchen, which is operated by Israeli food and beverage manufacturer Strauss Group, Inc., The Kitchen CEO Jonathan Berger told Calcalist on Wednesday. Givaudan has instructed The Kitchen to focus on companies developing technologies pertaining to natural flavor, fragrance, and coloring agents, as well as sugar and sodium substitutes, Berger said. Selected startups will be invited to join the accelerator, receiving an investment of $550,000 (NIS 2 million) from Strauss. The Kitchen is expecting to announce the first local startup selected to join the program by the end of the year, Berger added.
