Catching a customer on the phone at just the right time could be worth a lot of money—no one will take you up on that special offer when they are unavailable, says Yadin Haut, co-founder and CEO of startup company OptimalQ Technologies Ltd.

Founded in 2015 by Haut and Yechiel Levi, OptimalQ uses artificial intelligence to establish the best time to contact a customer according to the way they use their mobile phones.

The only personal data OptimalQ receives is the customers’ phone numbers, and it uses real-time cellular network-use information to establish availability.

Calcalist interviewed Haut at the company’s office at co-working space Labs, in the Azrieli Sarona tower in central Tel Aviv.
