Vadim Lavrusik, product manager at YouTube Live, is joining photography mobile app developer VSCO as director of product. Lavrusik, who joined YouTube a year ago, announced his departure from the company on Wednesday in a post to his Linkedin account. Before joining YouTube, Lavrusik was the product manager of Facebook Live.

In April, Lavrusik was one of the first YouTube employees to tweet about an active shooting incident at the company’s headquarters. His verified Twitter account was then hacked and used to spread misinformation about the event.

VSCO is a photo-editing and sharing platform marketed for “creators.” It offers a variety of presets, or filters, that give regular mobile photos the desirable quality of film-based photographs. The company, founded in 2011, has raised $75 million to date.
