A film co-production agreement between Israel and India, signed during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s state visit to India in January, has come into effect this week, Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported Tuesday. Per the agreement, a joint selection committee will be set up to consider collaboration proposals submitted by filmmakers from both countries. Expedited visas, financial grants, and tax exemptions are some of the benefits the Israeli government agreed to extend in order to help joint productions. At the time, the two countries also signed agreements to collaborate on cybersecurity, energy, and air transportation.
