Car Fleet Management Startup Fleetonomy Raises $3 Million

The Tel Aviv-based company develops a cloud-based fleet management service for carmakers, car rental companies, and ride-sharing services

Tel Aviv-based car fleet management startup Fleetonomy Ltd. has raised $3 million in a Seed round led by Vertex Ventures Israel, the company announced Wednesday. Fleetonomy intends to use the funding for research and development.

Founded in 2016 by Lior Gerenstein and former Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. executive Israel Duanis, Fleetonomy develops a cloud-based fleet management service for carmakers, car rental companies, and ride-sharing services. Fleetonomy’s service is currently available in the U.S., the U.K., and Germany, and the company intends to expand to additional markets within the next year.

Dutch holding and investment company Kardan NV and Nasdaq-listed automotive investment company VectoIQ Acquisition Corp. also participated in the round.
