Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems Ltd. has won a contract with the U.K. Ministry of Defence, the company announced Tuesday. The initial three-year contract stands at 10 million euros, but has a potential maximum value of 40 million euros, Elbit said.
Elbit's U.K. subsidiary will provide a battlefield management application for Morpheus, a program intended to provide the British Armed Forces with the next generation of a tactical communication and information system.
Elbit stated its operationally proven application will be based on its command and control platform TORCH2, which has been "delivered to many customers worldwide," including to the Australian Defence Forces.
