Israeli retail analytics startup ciValue Systems Ltd. announced Tuesday it completed a $6 million Series A investment round. The round was led by Nielsen, an early-stage tech incubator licensed by the Chief Scientist of Israel, and by Portuguese venture capital firm Sonae IM. Emery Investments.
Founded in 2014, ciValue offers customer analytics, data monetization, and advisory services. According to the company’s website, ciValue’s customers include makeup retailer Sephora, Israeli drugstore chain Super-Pharm, and Pandora Jewelry. CiValue is a graduate of Microsoft’s Scale-Up program. The company was founded by Israeli entrepreneurs Benny Bessel and Gilad Cohen, and has offices in New York, Paris, and northern Israel. According to Pitchbook data, prior to this round the company has raised approximately $5 million.
