Israel-based blockchain cybersecurity startup Valid Network Ltd. has raised $2 million in a seed round led by investment firm Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), JVP announced Tuesday. As part of the deal, Valid will also join the firm’s cybersecurity accelerator, JVP Cyber Labs, located in the southern Israeli town of Beer Sheva. Founded in July and based in the northern port city of Haifa, Valid develops enterprise software for securing smart contracts capable of identifying code vulnerabilities, possible loopholes, changes between versions, and abnormal activity to prevent fraud.
