WhiteSource Raises $35 Million

WhiteSource develops a platform automating open source management and security processes

WhiteSource Software, Inc., which develops a platform automating open source management and security processes, announced Wednesday it completed a $35 million funding round. The Series C round was led by Susquehanna International Group, LLC with participation from M12, Microsoft’s venture capital arm, and from Israel-based venture capital firm 83North Ltd.

Founded in 2011 and based out of Tel Aviv, Boston, and New York City, WhiteSource reports Microsoft, IBM, KPMG, and Comcast amongst its 500 customers.

To date, WhiteSource raised a total of $46 million in funding.

the company intends to use the funds to open offices in San Francisco and London, and double the size of its 50-person development team, WhiteSource co-founder and CEO Rami Sass said in an interview with Calcalist Wednesday.
