Foot traffic analytics startup Placer Labs Inc., operating as Placer.ai, announced on Wednesday it has raised $4 million in funding. Placer.ai has also launched its free online tool that uses customers’ cell phone signals to provide retailers with data and insights into in-store activity.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Los Altos, California with a development center in Tel Aviv, Placer.ai has 35 employees, according to Pitchbook data.
