The Israel Innovation Authority (IIA), an Israeli government investment arm, is launching a $7 million annual pilot program for companies focused on renewable energy, IIA announced Tuesday. The official announcement was made earlier that day at Eilat Eilot 2018, a renewable energy conference held in Israel’s most southern town of Eilat. The program is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2019, in collaboration with Israel’s Ministry of Energy and the Fuel Choices and Smart Mobility Initiative at the country’s Prime Minister’s Office.
