San Francisco-headquartered conversation analysis startup Chorus.ai, incorporated as AffectLayer Inc., has raised $33 million in a series B funding round led by Toronto-based equity firm Georgian Partners, Chorus.ai announced Thursday. The round brings Corus.ai’s total funding raised to $55.3 million. Existing California-based investors Redpoint Ventures and Emergence Capital also participated in the round. Founded in 2015 by Roy Raanani, Russell Levy, and Israeli-born cognitive scientist Micha Breakstone, Chorus.ai develops machine learning algorithms capable of monitoring and analyzing sales conversations and providing relevant insights. The company employs 60 people in San Francisco, Boston, and Tel Aviv.
