Nasdaq-listed surveillance and business intelligence company Verint Systems Inc. has acquired Jerusalem based NowForce Ltd., a developer of emergency response mobile applications, the companies announced Wednesday. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal. Founded in 2008, NowForce develops mobile applications designed to help locate people in distress and dispatch first responders. The company employs a team of 20 and has raised $8.5 million in investment to date, according to Pitchbook data. In 2015, Verint led a $4.5 million series B investment round in NowForce.

Earlier this year, Verint attempted to buy Israeli spyware developer NSO Group in a $1 billion deal. In July, Calcalist reported that the deal fell through, citing two sources.
