Tokyo-listed semiconductor company Renesas Electronics Corporation has partnered with Tel Aviv-based computer vision company Cortica Inc., the companies announced Tuesday. As part of the collaboration, Cortica’s artificial intelligence technology will be embedded into Renesas’ new system-on-chip for the automotive industry. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Cortica has raised $37.9 million to date from investors including Horizon Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, according to Pitchbook data.
