Dutch multinational consumer electronics company Royal Philips NV has partnered with Israeli sleep analysis startup SleepRate, Philips announced Monday. SleepRate’s mobile app uses off-the-shelf sensors such as fitness belts and smartwatches to track sleep patterns and detect sleep problems, offering users personalized coaching for improved sleep.
As part of the partnership, Philips will offer sleep-tracking technology by SleepRate as part of its SmartSleep group of sleep technologies and consumer products. SleepRate's technology will be featured in Philips' Better Sleep mobile app, designed to deliver a personalized sleep training program. Philips unveiled its new series of sleep-related technologies at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held this week in Las Vegas.
Founded in 2006, SleepRate is based in central Israel.
