Los Angeles and Tel Aviv-based workforce analytics startup Linear B Ltd. has raised $1.6 million in a seed round led by Israeli serial entrepreneur Ariel Maislos, the company announced Tuesday. Linear B develops a tool that assesses the performance, productivity, and engagement of a software engineering team by analyzing code quality, methodology, and team dynamics. The company’s software is currently in private beta.

Linear B was founded last year by Ori Keren and Dan Lines, two former engineers for Tel Aviv-based cloud security startup CloudLock Inc., acquired by Cisco Systems in 2016. Linear B intends to use the funding to develop more products and hire more tech support personnel.
