British energy company Centrica PLC announced Monday it increased its investment in Tel Aviv-based electric vehicle charging company Driivz Ltd. In August, Centrica co-led a $12 million investment in Driivz. Founded in 2012, Driivz develops and sells a cloud-based electric vehicle charging network management software used by over 200,000 drivers. Back in August, Centrica said it will integrate Driivz's platform into an intelligent electric vehicle charging service for organizations.
Centrica did not disclose the amount of the additional investment. The company also announced the establishment of Centrica Mobility Ventures, a ventures unit dedicated to electric vehicle technologies.
