India's Lohia Group Acquires Aerospace Parts Manufacturer Light & Strong
The Israeli company manufactures aircraft parts, including antennas, domes, avionic systems, and components for unmanned vehicles

Indian manufacturing conglomerate Lohia Group announced Tuesday the acquisition of Israeli aerospace parts manufacturer L&S Light & Strong Ltd. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.

Founded in 2007, Light & Strong manufactures aircraft parts, including antennas, domes, avionic systems, and components for unmanned vehicles. The company specializes in working with carbon fiber and glass fiber composite materials. The acquisition marks Lohia’s plans to enter the aerospace and defense sector, the group said in a statement. Headquartered in Kanpur, India, Lohia is a group of companies employing more than 5,000 people and serving customers in 85 countries. Lohia’s manufacturing scope includes textiles, auto components, and machinery and equipment for the plastic woven sack industry.
