Founded in 2014 and based in Shefayim, a kibbutz in central Israel, Zebra Medical uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for the automated analysis of radiological scans such as X-ray, CT, and MRI. Per the agreements, Sourasky’s emergency room will use Zebra Medical’s algorithms to prioritize radiologists’ workloads, assuring the most severe cases are diagnosed and treated first; Maccabi will use Zebra Medical’s technology as a “second opinion” for breast cancer diagnosis; and Clalit will apply the technology for early detection of osteoporosis and heart disease.
