E-Commerce Startup Donde Raises $6.5 Million

E-commerce startup Donde Fashion Inc. has raised $6.5 million, the company announced Wednesday. The round was led by San Francisco-based investment firm Matrix Partners.

The company provides an online product search that is used on retailers’ websites. Utilizing computer vision and analyses of product descriptions, Donde’s technology lets users search for clothing items according to features, such as the length and fit of a skirt, a neckline of a shirt, or by patterns.
In August, Donde announced it was partnering with clothing retailer Forever 21 Inc., with the retail behemoth integrating Donde’s technology to both its app and website. The new round of funding will be used to develop partnerships with major retailers in the U.S., according to the company’s statements. Founded in 2014, Donde has raised a total of $10 million in funding to date. The company has offices in New York and Tel Aviv, according to Pitchbook data.
