“We started from the insight that a lot of consumers today, especially men, are overwhelmed by the huge selection out there,” Julia Bösch, co-founder and CEO of online shopping service Outfittery GmbH, said Tuesday at Calcalist’s WeTechBerlin conference. The two-day event was held in collaboration with real estate company Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC, Israel’s Bank Leumi, its digital banking subsidiary LeumiTech Ltd., accounting firm KPMG, and the European investment fund Target Global.

Founded in 2012, Berlin-headquartered Outfittery combines data science and artificial intelligence algorithms with human stylists to make personalized styling scalable.

“Personalization in now the number one trend in the fashion industry,” Bösch said, adding that the company currently has over 600,000 users regularly using its services.
