Israeli HMO Partners with Poop Tech Startup to Launch Blood Glucose Control Service

Israeli gut microbiome analysis startup DayTwo Ltd. announced Tuesday it is launching a blood glucose control service with one of Israel’s largest health maintenance organizations. As part of the deal, Clalit clients can get a DNA analysis of their gut microbiome and personalized nutritional insights based on DayTwo’s technology, as well as two online counseling sessions with Clalit dieticians.

Tel Aviv-based DayTwo was founded in 2015 and has raised $17 million to date from backers including Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. co-founder Marius Nacht—who is a DayTwo co-founder—and Israeli basketball player Omri Casspi, who last played for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. The company employs 75 people, according to Pitchbook data.
