London-Based Luxury Vacation Rentals Marketplace The Plum Guide Raises $18.4 Million

London-based vacation rentals marketplace The Plum Guide Ltd. has raised GBP 14 million (approximately $18.45) million in a series B funding round led by London-based Talis Capital Ltd., the former announced Thursday.

Currently operating in London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Los Angeles, and New York The Plum Guide offers pre-vetted luxury home rentals for vacations in select locations. The company intends to use the funding to hire 100 additional people and to expand its services to 12 new cities, including—Tel Aviv, Berlin, and Barcelona—by the end of 2019.

Founded in 2015 by Imran Arshed and Israeli-born serial entrepreneur Doron Meyassed, The Plum Guide has raised nearly $29 million to date. Additional investors in the current round include Latitude Investment Management, Hearst Ventures, and existing investor Octopus Ventures.
