Israeli cannabis cultivator Canndoc Ltd. has appointed Alon Granot to the role of deputy chairman, the company announced in a stock market filing Tuesday. Before joining Canndoc, Granot served as chief financial officer at flavor and fragrance company Frutarom Industries Ltd., acquired by NYSE-listed International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) for $7.1 billion in May 2018.
In September 2018, Israeli medical cannabis company InterCure Ltd. acquired Canndoc, which is licensed in Israel to produce and market medical cannabis and its products, for an undisclosed amount. That month, InterCure appointed former Israeli Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Israeli Military Ehud Barak as chairman.
In November, Adam Neumann, co-founder, and CEO of WeWork, invested $5 million in InterCure in return for a 4.5% stake in the company.
