Israeli Public Transit App Moovit Will Direct You to Your Polling Station

Ahead of Israel’s general election Tuesday, Moovit integrated the location of 10,720 polling stations into its trip planning app

Israeli public transportation trip-planning app developer Moovit App Global Ltd. has integrated 10,720 polling station locations into its app ahead of the Israeli general election Tuesday, the company announced Monday.

Moovit users will be able to search routes via their polling station number. On election day, the company’s app will also send out reminders urging users to vote, the company said.

Israel will offer free inter-city public transportation on election day.

Founded in 2012 and based in central Israel, Moovit offers its free mobile public transportation navigation app in 2,700 cities across 86 countries. The company has raised approximately $132 million to date, according to Pitchbook data. Investors in the company include actor Ashton Kutcher and Intel Capital.
