Identity Verification Startup Identiq Raises $5 Million

Identiq’s distributed network uses cryptography to enable members to validate new users without sharing any personal user data

Tel Aviv-based identity verification startup Identiq Protocol Ltd. has raised a $5 million seed round, the company announced Tuesday. The round was led by Israel-headquartered venture capital firm Entrée Capital, with participation by Slow Ventures, Vertex Ventures, and Oryzn Capital. Founded in 2018, Identiq’s distributed network uses cryptography to enable members to validate new users without sharing any personal user data.
