Cloud backup startup OwnBackup Ltd. has raised a $23.25 million series C funding round, the company announced Thursday. The round was led by New York-based Insight Venture Partners and Israel-based Vertex Ventures. OwnBackup intends to use the funds to double its engineering team.

Founded in 2012 by Ariel Berkman, Daniel Gershuni, and Eran Cohen, OwnBackup develops a cloud-to-cloud automated backup and recovery system. According to LinkedIn data, the company has more than 130 employees in its Fort Lee, New Jersey headquarters, and in additional offices in Tel Aviv and London. Customer relation management powerhouse Salesforce.com Inc and Eric Schmidt’s venture capital firm Innovation Endeavors have previously invested in the company.
