This week’s winners are:

Cloud security companies Twistlock and PureSec, for being part of Palo Alto Networks’ latest acquisition spree. The NYSE-listed cybersecurity company has formally announced on Wednesday its acquisition of cloud security company Twistlock for around $410 million in cash. Also on Wednesday, Palo Alto announced the acquisition of Tel Aviv-based cloud security startup PureSec for an undisclosed sum. Read more

Live broadcasting startup LiveU, which was bought by Francisco Partners and IGP for $200 million. LiveU develops live broadcasting and streaming technologies negating the need for an outside broadcasting van, as the video is transmitted directly to the broadcaster's server over cellular networks. Image retail analytics company Trax, for raising $100 million at $1.1 billion valuation. Israeli-linked, Singapore-headquartered Trax offers retailers image recognition and computer vision analytic tools. Bloomberg reported on the round Monday. Read more

Data security company AlgoSec, for Laying Off dozens of employees. The enterprise data security company which lists Microsoft, General Motors, Unilever, British Petroleum, and Sony as clients is letting 8% of its 350 employees go, in order to transfer resources from its operations to its marketing and sales divisions. Israeli drone maker Aeronautics, for erasing $23 million. With its sale to Israeli defense contractor Rafael and Israeli businessman Avihai Stolero still pending, Aeronautics opened 2019 by erasing $23 million due to an accounting mishap. Read more
