Imperva to Acquire Bot Management Company Distil Networks
Distil Networks develops cloud-based security software that analyzes attack patterns to defend websites against malicious bots
Redwood City, California-headquartered Imperva was founded in Israel in 2002. The company develops and sells information security software for databases and web apps. The company was previously listed on Nasdaq but delisted earlier this year when it was acquired by technology investment firm Thoma Bravo LLC for $2.1 billion. Imperva’s co-founder and former CEO Shlomo Kramer, who co-founded Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., is one of Israel’s most well-known tech entrepreneurs and cybersecurity angel investors.
