Tokyo-listed Japanese advertising and public relation corporation Dentsu Inc. has invested in Tel Aviv-based digital communication startup Imprint, the companies announced Wednesday. While the exact amount was not disclosed, the companies said the amount is in the “millions of dollars.”

This is not Dentsu’s first investment in Israel. In 2015, Dentsu acquired Israeli digital performance marketing agency abaGada Internet Ltd. for an undisclosed amount. Last month, the company announced it is setting up a new division in Israel to scout Israeli startups for investment and collaboration opportunities.

Founded in 2013, Imprint conducts discourse-based market research on social media to gain insights and develop precise messaging strategies for target audiences. The company employs 100 people, according to the company’s statement.
