Medtech Company Filterlex Medical Raises $3 Million

Israel-based Filterlex develops a device for reducing the risk of stroke and other complications during catheter-based heart procedures

Israel-based medical device startup Filterlex Medical Ltd. has raised a $3 million Series A funding round, the company announced Monday. The round was led by an unnamed Chinese venture capital firm, the company said. Founded in 2015 and based in northern Israeli town Yokneam, Filterlex develops an embolic protection device intended to reduce risk of stroke and other complications during catheter-based heart procedures.
