Website Building Company Wix to Expand Operations to Japan

Tel Aviv-based Nasdaq-listed website building company Wix.com Ltd. is set to launch operations in Japan, the company announced Thursday. Wix’s new office, located in Tokyo, will host a marketing department and partnership team, and, starting in October, will also include a call center for Japanese customers.

Founded in 2006, Wix offers users an automated website building service using customizable templates. The company touts having more than 150 million registered users and employs 2,600 people.
