Israeli navigation app developer Navin Systems Ltd. is expanding to the U.S., the company announced Thursday. The company’s indoor navigation app, designed to help users find their way inside intricate spaces like malls and museums, is now available in San Francisco and Palo Alto. California-based users will be able to use Navin’s app to navigate inside local IKEA and Bloomingdale's stores, as well as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the San Francisco Public Library, among other destinations.

Founded in 2012 and based in Tel Aviv, Navin utilizes users’ mobile devices as crowdsourced mapping tools in order to allow users to find their destinations within buildings where GPS service is not available, such as shopping malls, hospitals, airports, museums, and university campuses. The company’s app is currently available for Android users in Tel Aviv and California.
