Allogenic Immunotherapy Company Adicet Bio Raises $80 Million
Founded by Israeli chemist Aya Jakobovits, Adicet develops universal immune cell therapies based on gamma delta T cells to treat different forms of cancer

Menlo Park, California-based allogenic immunotherapy company Adicet Bio Inc. has raised an $80 million series B funding round, the company announced Wednesday. Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Israel-based life sciences, healthcare, and Marius Nacht's technology venture capital firm aMoon2 Fund, Samsung Venture Investment Corp., and existing investors Orbimed Israel Partners Ltd., Novartis Venture Fund, and Pontifax Ltd. all participated in the round.
Founded in 2006 by Israeli chemist Aya Jakobovits, Adicet develops universal immune cell therapies based on gamma delta T cells to treat different forms of cancer. The company intends to use the new round of funding to develop its proprietary technology for the treatment of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The company has raised $131 million to date, according to Pitchbook data, and employs a team of 61 people in both the U.S. and Israel, according to LinkedIn.
