Nasdaq-listed cybersecurity company Fortinet Inc. has acquired San Francisco-based cybersecurity startup EnSilo Inc., the former announced Monday. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2014 by Israeli entrepreneurs Roy Katmor, Udi Yavo, Tomer Bitton, and Ido Kelson, EnSilo develops cybersecurity technologies that combine antivirus and post-attack data protection to lower the risk of data theft or ransom demands, even when the system is compromised. The company has raised $57 million to date from investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Viola Ventures, and O.G. Tech Ventures and employs a team of 90 people in both Israel and the U.S., according to Pitchbook data.
