Check Point Acquires IoT Security Company Cymplify

Nasdaq-listed network and cloud security company Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. has acquired Tel Aviv-based IoT security company Cymplify, incorporated as Schwifty Ltd., the former announced Wednesday. While the financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, one person familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity told Calcalist they valued the acquisition at $5 million.

Founded earlier this year, Cymplify develops a firmware analysis engine for IoT security that provides highly detailed cybersecurity posture reports.

Founded in 1993, Check Point pioneered Firewall technology and is considered an information security market leader. The company employs approximately 2,200 people in Israel.
