Rhode Island Signs MoU With Ben Gurion University

The agreement aims to encourage collaborations between Israeli startups and Rhode Island's public and private universities, and promote tech internships and job opportunities

Rhode Island Governor Gina M. Raimondo has signed a memorandum of understanding with Israel-based Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) on joint innovation and entrepreneurship, the latter announced Wednesday. The MoU aims to encourage collaborations between Israeli startups and Rhode Island's public and private universities, and promote tech internships and job opportunities.

Rhode Island is home to leading American universities, including the Ivy League’s Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, the Naval War College, and the New England Institute of Technology. Ben Gurion University is located in southern Israeli city Be’er Sheva, and reports 20,000 students.
