Tel Aviv-based high-resolution radar startup Arbe Robotics Ltd. has raised a $32 million series B funding round, the company announced Monday. The round was participated by Catalyst CEL, BAIC Capital, AI Alliance, the joint fund of Hyundai, Hanwha Group, and SK Telecom, MissionBlue Capital, Canaan Partners Israel, iAngels, 360 Capital Partners, O.G. The company expects its radars to be incorporated into vehicles in serial production in 2024, the company’s CEO Kobi Marenko said in an interview with Calcalist.
Founded in 2015, Arbe develops a high-resolution 4D imaging radar for autonomous vehicles. The company initially developed a collision-avoidance system for drones before shifting its focus to the autonomous vehicle industry. Arbe employs a team of 80 people, Marenko said. The company has raised $55 million to date and operates additional offices in China and the U.S.
Arbe intends to use the funding to move to full production of its radar chipset and expand its team, according to the company’s statement.
